Warranty and service
Capital Renewables is your single point of contact for any service or warranty issue, whoever installed your system.
Your warranties
- Manufacturer’s warranty: covers product defects for at least 5 years. The details are in your handover pack.
- Capital Renewables workmanship warranty: covers the installation work for 5 years from completion.
- Australian Consumer Law: your consumer guarantees apply in addition to these warranties.
When something goes wrong
- Safety issue (gas smell, sparking, water leaking near electrics): we aim to attend within 48 hours. If you are in danger, call 000 or your gas emergency line first.
- No heating, cooling or hot water: we aim to attend within 3 business days.
- Other faults: we aim to attend within 10 business days.
Workmanship faults are fixed at no cost. For product faults, we lodge the claim with the manufacturer and coordinate the repair.
Looking after your system
- Air conditioners: clean the indoor filters every 2 to 3 months and keep the outdoor unit clear of plants and debris.
- Heat pump water heaters: keep the unit clear for airflow, and have the temperature and pressure relief valve checked as the manufacturer recommends.
